I have been baking for many years and after being made redundant whilst on maternity leave with my second child I decided to give the bakery a go. With much encouragement from family and friends, I started my bakery in 2012.
The baking has just grown by itself and after many years learning my trade with birthdays and celebration cakes, my main love and focus is now wedding cakes. I am so proud to be a preferred supplier at many local hotels and venues. And a regular visitor to many others.
The team has expanded and I now have a wonderful baking assistant, Gilly, who helps with EVERYTHING! She joined in 2019 and is learning all my skills and it's so great to have someone to share this cakey world with. How did I find someone who is as passionate and happy to be in the kitchen as me. We chatter all day and you should hear some of the conversations we have. Everything is discussed!
To ensure my decorating skills are up to standard I've achieved the PME Masters Certificate including Sugarcraft Diploma, Royal Icing and Piping Diploma and finally the Sugar Flowers Diploma.
Food Safety & Insurance
I have obtained the necessary public and product liability insurance, the kitchen is registered and has been inspected by the Environmental Health Department of Reigate & Banstead Borough Council and I've obtained the CIEH accredited Level 2 in Food Hygiene.
