I walked into the Breakfast room mid-morning and saw it shining in the sunlight on that stunning glass stand and was just totally blown away - you captured exactly what we wanted and the taste was just out of this world!
Matt and I managed to save 4 slices to take home and had them ALL for breakfast this morning ha!

3 Tier Burgundy Ombre Texutred Buttercream with Fresh Roses
''Gem from Gorgeous Gem's Bakery was absolutely incredible in creating our wedding cake. The communication was excellent and she sent us cake samples for free in the post, and the cake sponges were delicious! The decision to choose 3 flavours was tough!
The cake had 3 tiers with red/pink/white icing ombre effect with quicksand roses on the bottom and middle tiers. The bottom tier had a raspberry/white chocolate filling, middle tier had a chocolate filling and the top tier had a lemon filling. The white chocolate/raspberry sponge was my favourite, and the lemon sponge was my husband's favourite. The cake was the most delicious cake we have ever tasted, and our wedding venue provided us with lots of slices to keep, absolutely scrumptious! The cake was a hit with our guests too, and the lemon and white chocolate/raspberry were their favourite sponge flavours.
We couldn't recommend Gem enough, and will always look fondly on our special day and wedding cake. Thank you Gem,

The best cake I’ve had. I’m vegan but my partner isn’t so Gem kindly did vegan layers and non vegan layers and separated them so they weren’t touching.
She was easy going, kind and super helpful. I’ll definitely be ordering more cakes in the future for other events as well! Thank you Gem!''

''Everything was absolutely perfect with the cake! We loved it and the arrangements of the flowers were perfect too. We had so many of our guests comment on the cake with how lovely it was plus how delicious and amazing the sponge was! Kiki managed to save us some as we missed out ourselves on the day but we thoroughly enjoyed it the day after! ;)

We got a bigger cake to ensure all guests could try the different favours for the three layers which was an excellent idea suggested by Gem and went down very well as did the gorgeous biscuits. All totally stunning.

''We had Gem make our wedding cake along with some gluten free cupcakes and we couldn't recommend her enough.
Gem was amazing from start to finish and she was so helpful in making sure we got what we wanted and making our visions a reality. The cake samples that Gem sent in the post were great and allowed us to taste different flavours ahead of choosing which ones we wanted for our cake.
On the day we had so many compliments from guests that the cake and cupcakes tasted amazing and they couldn’t get enough. It definitely went down well as there was none left by the end of the night.

''I was so thrilled and speechless when I saw the cake on the day. It was beautiful, classic and exactly as I had envisaged. She also had worked with our florist for the arrangement of the roses on the cake. It was perfection and besides how beautiful it was, it was also very tasty! We had lemon, red velvet and fruit cake.
She also made iced biscuits which turned out exactly as I had envisaged and were also very tasty.

"If you’re looking to book a wedding cake, look no further. Our cake looked incredible and it tasted amazing! We can’t thank Gem enough for making the experience so easy from start to finish.
We had quite a specific vision for how we wanted the cake to look with some gold leaf and Gem kindly shared some examples from her previous work to help us pick the design. She also worked closely with our venue and florist to ensure everything went smoothly.
The end result was absolutely stunning. Here’s a photo of our cake taken on a phone but no doubt the cake will look even better in our professional photos. The photos really don’t do it justice. Thank you so much again x!"

“Wow what a cake! Considering we had no idea what we really wanted, Gem did an amazing job of creating a tasty, stunning cake. It looked amazing and tasted amazing.
When we first met Gem and asked her to create our cake we really had no clue how many tiers or what flavours and in particular, what we wanted for the cake, appearance wise. She was really helpful suggesting designs to fit with our 007 theme, and how we could get around the issue of not using chocolate ganache (my Husband doesn’t eat chocolate), to help get the smooth texture under the icing.
After months and months of looking on Pinterest and at so many cake designs we found “the one” and when we showed it to Gem, she confirmed she could make it without the chocolate, so our ongoing icing saga was finally over.
Seeing the cake on the day, OMG it was perfect, just like we’d shown her. Gem did an incredible job, she was so helpful from start to finish, and always patient with us, even though she was probably fed up with our “we don’t know what we want” issue. The cake samples she sent, to choose our flavours were delightful, and being able to request the flavour to be stronger on the lemon cake was great….love a lemon cake.
Our cake did not disappoint, and neither did its creator! Thank you Gem, you are amazing!! xx“

She accommodated all of our requests including dietary requirements, a cake-sample care package that travelled internationally (via my parents) and took care of the edible flower order for my 4-tier Vegan Lemon Buttercream and Fruitcake Wedding Cake.

"Gem was an absolute star to work with from start to finish. She kept in close contact with us to discuss our design and flavours. She came during our wedding breakfast to set up the cake so it was there waiting for us.
I think the best compliments that I can give are that the venue said they were shocked that all the slices put out were eaten because this rarely happens, and that my husband, who never eats cake, could not get enough of her glorious creations! I would recommend her to anyone! x

It was everything that we could have asked for and was absolutely perfect. We wish that we could have actually met you to give you our thanks in person, because we were totally blown away by it. So much so that it was a shame to actually have to cut it!
I can say however that all the flavours went down a treat, and we even had a little left over for us to take home, which was good as neither of us got to try any on the day!!

We served the cake as our dessert along with cream and fresh fruit and we had many guests comment on not only the quality of the taste, but how it looked too. We cannot recommend Gem enough for your wedding or event.
